Uganda Christian University (UCU) is mourning the tragic loss of a student identified as Odea Sarah John.
The unfortunate news was shared by UCU South Sundanese Students’ Association, to which, Sarah was a signatory.
“It is with the deepest sow that we must announce the tragic loss of one of our members, a sister and a colleague within the South Sudanese community at UCU,” the association announced.
She was pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy at the time of demise.
Sources familiar with the matter indicate that Sarah had complained of a mild toothache three weeks ago which eventually led to an exaction earlier this week.
“Sadly, this was followed by severe bleeding, which did subside with time, but tragically, she succumbed to it on the evening of October 31, 2023,” a source revealed.
