18-year-old Sonny Soweez talks about balancing between music and her tough course, strikes at campus plus campus life in general
Please tell us a bit about yourself?
I am Asimo Sonny aka Sonny Soweez…18 year old …down to earth music freak…first year at the mighty Makerere University doing Biomedical Laboratory Technology!
What has been your best moment at Campus?
I’ve barely made a year at campus so I don’t really have a specific moment i’d call my best.
On a typical Friday or Saturday Night, where does one find you?
Well I am more of a stay in person though I do hangout with my friends and go to studio.
One thing you hate about Campusers?
I mind my business so I don’t really have anything against them.
And what do you like about them?
Their ruckus is quite entertaining.
Is that the course you had wished to Pursue since childhood?
Not really… I wanted to do pharmacy badly but well…life’s unpredictable…The course am doing now is okay too
How do you manage to juggle between music and lectures?
I do most of my song writing late in the night. (I am on a nocturnal grind:)) then I also attend all lectures and read daily. My studio time is usually over the weekends.
Do you have specific lectures that you dread or chop?
No I don’t chop any lecture as yet because what the lecturers teach is better understood in the lecture room.
Can you date your fellow course mate?
I wouldn’t date a fellow course mate because it’s a bit exhausting…otherwise love is not selective J:)
What do you think is the solution to strikes in most universities in UG?
In my opinion…Students and Lecturers need to develop mutual understanding to prevent conflicts.
Who do you look up to and why?
There’s no particular person I’d mention though I learn a lot from various people…Am also driven by my set goals.

According to you, which varsity has the hottest babes and guys?
Am yet to have my own research on that but I hear MUBS has hot babes…hot guys are well…ahmmm …..Well I also hear hot guys are at the TECH faculty in MUK.
