The organisers of the Menstrual Shebang fashion show have confirmed that the second edition will happen on May 28th and it will take place at the Design Hub located in Industrial area.
Menstrual Shebang is a concept that was put together by The Wellbeing Foundation and Wuzi Africa to organize a fashion show that addresses Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
The show happened last year during the World Menstrual hygiene day and this year again, as the whole world comes together to commemorate the world menstrual hygiene day, the Menstrual Shebang Fashion show will also see it’s second edition.
According to Shyaka Lwanyaaga, the founder of The Wellbeing Foundation, the show will feature seven different fashion designers with their collections driving the story back to SRHR.
“Just like the first edition where most of the models showcased outfits with a touch of red, the same will happen this year since the show is about Menstrual hygiene and addressing sexual reproductive health and rights,” Lwanyaaga said.
Last year’s Menstrual She-bang Fashion show took place at MoTiV located along old Port bell road in Kampala and this year again in a different venue, the show will still look at unlocking the limitless potential of young people from marginalized and less privileged communities and backgrounds by creating platforms for untold stories.
