Security has been beefed up at Makerere Business School (MUBS) in Nakawa Division where the voting of the LC3 Councillor Nakawa Institutions is going on.
The voting process was earlier interrupted by rain, which gave Polling Assistants and agents of Candidates the opportunity to campaign asking voters to tick the umbrella since it’s what they were using to shield them from the rain.
Meanwhile other voters who were promised money were also taking pictures of the ballot they had ticked to use as evidence to be paid, something that could not be accepted and misunderstandings errupted that saw both LDUs and UPDF Soldiers being brought in to calm the situation.
Right now the situation has normalised and voting is going on smoothly inside the University Campus at two polling stations.
