A senior six vacist in the names of Gloria Biira has been kidnapped by unknown people who blindfolded her and forcefully put her in a car before they took off. This incident happened in Bwera town, Kasese District, western Uganda.
According to the Rwenzori East Regional Police Commander, Mr. Julius Ceaser Tusingwire, Biira was kidnapped on Monday 28th evening while she was on her way from Bwera Secondary school where she had gone to pick her Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results. Tusingwire adds that the kidnap was confirmed by Biira’s parents who also revealed that they talked to her on phone.
Apparently Biira was asked by her kidnappers to tell her parents that she did not know where she was being kept in a phone call she made under the kidnappers’ orders. Tusingwire also noted that at the moment police has no clue on Biira’s whereabouts but investigations into the matter have already kicked off.
It is not yet clear what the kidnappers demanded from Biira’s parents but police continues to hunt for the missing girl and her kidnappers.
