Are we trying to show the world that we do have sex? Are we trying to show that we are all grown up? Or maybe we are trying to show just how experienced we are?
Such questions continuously go through our minds as we follow the slow but sure trend of leaking student sex videos that is currently becoming acceptable!
The first ever student sex video to come out was in 2010 entailing a couple of students at Nkumba University. (There may have been more before that but we do not sleep in your bedrooms to be 100% sure!)
Lucky for them however, technology was not as popular as it is today and thus just a few people watched the video.
A couple of years after, some students of Uganda Christian University (notice the irony in this) and Makerere University Business School decided to join the wagon and release their own videos. Many more sex videos have since been leaked but fast forward to a couple of days ago and it seems the high schoolers have joined the wagon too after two Kitende Students released a sex video (imagine the audacity)!
So many of you probably condemn these kids in terms of them spoiling their names and other reasons that you might have. But we have come to realise that people actually become much more popular, they basically become celebrities if you can count a few minutes of fame as popularity!
Some end up in serious relationships after showing the world how experienced they are and thats if you are looking for a partner who is after what your body can offer. And some just prove that they are courageous, brave and bold. We are yet to find out what they gain from this!
An example of this in particular is when the students of UCU released their video just because of a truth and dare game!
Talk about a generation with its priorities messed up,forgetting about the fact that the tragedy will have to live on and on And because of the international community which inspires thousands of youth today we are yet to believe that many are yet to unleash the little monsters in them.
The question so far is, has today’s generation reached at a point of doing whatever they have to do in the name of being popular or famous, even though it gets worse where money is involved. Well despite the carelessness and immorality, we all knw how eye catching such scenarios can be but ought to learn from how to take relationships with other individuals isolated.
