Makerere University Alumnus, Mathias Ssemanda, who doubles as the Head of Digital Media Communications for the premiere institution went down on a knee to ask for his lover’s hand in marriage.
In a simple but eloquent occasion which happened in Hsinchu City, Taiwan – this gentalman and his queen, Ms Joan Nakitende were donned in matching outfits.
Reputable media personalities and celebrities showered congratulatory messages on twitter wishing the couple a happy start to marriage.
“Congratulations Mathias. Love is a beautiful feeling” NBS TV’s Canary Mugume wrote.
“Cong’s mate. We the elders had started asking questions like what happened? Did he knock a sheep?” Simon Kaggwa Njala, a TV moderator, wrote in humor.
Mr Ssemanda is currently a Diplomacy and International Relations Master’s scholar at Pennsylvania State University which he joined a number of years after completing his undergraduate studies at Makerere in 2016.
