A Kyambogo University student is currently being held by police after he was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly murdering a 5-year-pupil of Lungujja Modern Primary school, Campus Bee has learned.
The student identified as Henry Kyagulanyi,22, was arrested on Tuesday evening in an operation carried out by the Flying Squad Commandant Herbert Muhangi after days of hunting for him.
According to Chimpreports, the alleged murderer was forced to reveal where he buried the body after murder and he disclosed how he had dumped it in the farm of former Makerere University Chancellor, Prof Mondo Kagonyera’s in Bira, Kireka in Wakiso district.
The body of the deceased was later retrieved in the said location.
The suspect was arrested after he attempted to demand a Shs1.5m ransom from the boy’s parents and he is currently held at police pending further investigations.
