Since the sad demise of Prof. Lawrence Mukiibi, a lot has been said; but hey, what do the old students have to say about the issue of the alleged relationships with students by the gallant professor?
I got a chance to hear from a few ‘St. Law’ OGs who preferred anonymity, and they revealed,
“At Horri(read Horizon Campus), we were told to always call him ‘Daddy’. I heard that at London College, they called him ‘Papa’ and ‘Le Professuer’ at Paris Pallais.” One said.
“My most memorable scene at ‘Lando’ was during one assembly when Papa was appointing his prefect. You see, being Papa’s prefect was the best post a student would ever get: you’d get better privileges than any person in the school.
The prefect, who was by default a girl, could have meals from the staffroom, have easy access to Papa’s office and sometimes hold his car keys. Outings with him were not an anomaly – though to be honest I’ve never known the destinations. Most were rumours.” Another said.
“So at that assembly, one not-nice-looking girl who was appointed by a teacher to be Papa’s prefect got the shock of her life, when Papa publicly embarrassed her in the presence of the whole school, when he chose the cutest girl as his perfect.” She explained.
“Then on prom, Papa always chose a date, among the girls, to walk with on the red carpet and also sit with at the high table. On our prom, he chose the girl with the most revealing dress. We were all left in shock.” She said, sternly.
Professor Lawrence Mukiibi died at Novik Hospital after sliding and falling in his bathroom. Since then, many theories about his sexual network have been spreading.
