Reports about university girls sleeping with lecturers are not just an illusion. Now, two female students at Makerere University Business School [MUBS] have moved to expose Balunywa for sleeping with them- in exchange for marks.
The students, Elizabeth and Veronica (not real names), dragged the university don to Kiira Road Police Station and filed the case under file number; SD REF 16/05/2016 alleging him of sleeping with them in exchange for marks.
According to The Kampala Sun, these females allege that their lecturer, Yusuf Balunywa, (related to the university Principal, Wasswa Balunywa) convinced them to have sex with him in exchange of high grades that would later enable them graduate with first class degrees.
However, Balunywa vehemently denies the allegations referring to them as a witch hunt. “I can never do such a thing. I did not do it,” he denies.
Balunywa is a lecturer in the Department of Management and Hospitality at MUBS.
These chics allege that after sleeping with him during the last semester, they broke off from the university at the end of the semester with the confidence of graduating in January. To their bemusement, they did not make it to the graduation list that was released in January after massive plans for their grad parties and assuring their parents and whoever cared to listen that they would indeed graduate.
“We kept calling him asking why our names were missing on the graduation list- he could not give us a clear reason.”
Elizabeth says, before adding: “He had promised to fix our retakes and give us free marks since we had ‘blessed’ him with our nyam nyam. He used to take us to Gabiro Bar every Thursday regularly- we were having the best time of our lives knowing we were sorted academic wise.”
Balunywa cites the intrigue at the Nakawa based campus-revealing that MUBS is full of “mafias”.
“I am being witch hunted! Even if it takes cutting off my arm, I will stick to my word that I have never had sex with any student,” Balunywa emphasized.
