Singer Hajji Haruna Mubiru has celebrated his daughter, Remmy Mubiru Fatuma, with an emotional and generous gesture following her graduation from the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU).
Remmy graduated with a Certificate in General Nursing during the university’s 34th graduation ceremony held over the weekend, a milestone that drew pride and joy from her family, especially her father.
To mark the achievement, Haruna Mubiru presented Remmy with a Qur’an and a prayer mat, underscoring the family’s faith and values. The highlight of the celebration, however, came when a black Toyota Sienta was delivered on a carrier into the family compound, sparking cheers and ululations from those present. Remmy later took the vehicle for a test drive, with her father seated at the wheel.

The celebrations were held in an intimate family gathering attended by close relatives, friends and religious leaders. The wider Senkoole family was represented by singer Mesach Ssemakula, who joined in congratulating the new graduate.
Speaking at the event, Haruna Mubiru described Remmy as an inspiration and a role model to her siblings. He revealed that his investment in H&M Restaurant, which he opened for her, was not a gift to be repaid in money but through responsibility.
“I told her that the only way she can pay me back is by helping her younger brothers and sisters,” Haruna said.
The occasion marked not only an academic milestone for Remmy Mubiru Fatuma but also a moment of pride for a family that placed education, faith and responsibility at the centre of its celebration.
