Soroti University Academic Registrar, Soroti University, James Gregory Okello has alerted all students reporting for the 2021/2022 Academic Year to report with Laptops as a compulsory study accompaniment.
Mr. Okello made the revelation at the same time informing the university community especially the students admitted for the 2021/2022 Academic Year that they will report on Saturday, January 29th, 2022.
“Each student must report with a Laptop as a mandatory requirement to enable them to study in any location, that is, at home, self-study areas, or in class,” Mr. Okello noted.
The education sector has been constrained by the covid-19 pandemic, limiting physical lectures since the virus spreads more easily in crowds, hence the call for alternative measures especially in tertiary institutions like eLearning.
The Academic Registrar as well guided students who have not yet received their admission letters to forward their active email addresses to admissions@sun.ac.ug for support.
