Uganda Christian University guild presidential aspirant Timothy Kadaga is a son to the honourable Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga. After recently expressed his political intentions, he has today in an interview with one of our reporters shown how his mother has been of great influence to his political career.
Firstly, the eloquent Timothy Kadaga informed us that the greatest role his mother, the Speaker of Parliament has played in uplifting his political career is teaching and joining him in prayer. He firmly told us that the mother’s first reaction to the news about his political intentions was that they must pray greatly about it which they certainly did.
He further stated that his mother’s ethical approach to politics and leadership is one more trait that he has adopted in his political aspirations. To explain this, he stated that the Honourable Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has always advised him never to promise more than he can deliver which most leaders tend to forget in their line of service.
He also revealed that he greatly admires his mother’s honesty as she will always tell you what’s blue and what’s white, a character that he feels he has taken on.
When asked if his mother was the financial muscle behind his strong campaign, Timothy Kadaga told our reporter that this was as a result of collective efforts that included the mother’s assistance, friends, family and well – wishers but not just his mothers.
