Just when many parents, guardians, and well-wishers are still angry at the exorbitant prices being charged by many of the prominent schools in the country, St. Henry’s College Kitovu in Masaka is charging Ugx. 4,400 as school fees.
PUBLIC REACTS
Kitongo Eva Nowadays, education is worse than a construction project. In schools, parents even pay for what doesn’t concern then like staff projects, etc. Seriously, then their real school fees is 4,400/= God have mercy
Alyc Twin Madness? Needy students fee?? So they are paying for themselves and contributing to someone else’s fees.. And how is school fees insurance more than school fees?? But ok none of mi business nwe..
Kazibwe Shafurah I wish they could spare us the whole break down and just put a whole figure as school fees instead of annoying us with the 4400 as school feels
Godfrey Silas Garvey Olanya Daylight robbery without violence and deliberate policy of marginalisation of children from poor families.
When I went to High School my total school fees was 500 Shillings for the whole year . We were provided with a mattress , a pillow , two pillow cases, a bedspread, three square meals, break tea , textbooks and stationery. There were no extra or hidden costs. In our “modern” Uganda, I see parents paying millions of shillings of school fees for substandard services.
Why should be charged PTA membership fees? Why?
Moses Wakibi Poor and developing nations are always lockedup in problems of their own. Sincerely for only three months and u pay that amount in a gov’t school. After paying all that much u look for jobs for a decade. Cant parents reason and opt for affordable sch.
Although not entirely justified, St. Henry’s College Kitovu properly broke down the use of the majestic Ugx. 1,340,000 they are charging their students.
Many schools failed to account for the worrying prices they charged for academic year starting term 1 2017 while many blamed the increase on the inflation rates in the country, Kitovu didn’t- they simply broke it down for you all.
