The management of Stanbic Bank Uganda has announced that starting this year, the bank will recruit brilliant graduates into a one-year graduate skilling program.
According to the Bank Chief Executive officer, Anne Juuko, Stanbic Bank will hire and mentor young, ambitious, and brilliant university students who graduate at the top of their classes in a new initiative aimed at enabling them gain relevant experience to compete in the job market.
In addition, this will be a fully paid graduate program, with selected candidates earning a competitive salary and complete benefits over the 12-month programmed.
“We have designed the programme to be an autobahn that will challenge participants to explore their full creative and innovative potential with the objective of turning them into business leaders of tomorrow in their respective career paths,” Mrs. Juuko said.
David Mutaka, Executive Head for People and Culture at Stanbic Bank, said that the selection process will be fair, open and deliberate about including all Ugandans who legitimately qualify and have the potential to address issues affecting society today.
Qualified candidates are Young Ugandans who completed an undergraduate degree between 2020 and 2023 are required to qualify as candidates.
However, students who will graduate in 2023 must have finished their studies by September 2022 and be eligible for graduation.
Candidates must have graduated with a CGPA of 4.0 and above and, if appropriate, with a minimum of two years’ work experience in any subject of study connected to the bank’s business units
