The University Council, Board of Trustees and  Management of Kampala International University with deep sorrow announce the sudden death of their students, Mutabazi Fred, Kwizera Vincent, Shema Emmanuel, Ngarambi Frank, Bukwengeri Samson and Kasasiira Fred, who passed away on Saturday 4th November 2017 after a motor accident at Walusubi, Kakoge along Bombo Road.

Their passing is even more hurtful because it follows closely the death of Ojiambo Azizi who died in Mukono about three weeks ago. And also the death of our Nigerian student, Abdullahi Abulkadir, who died on November 1st.

This has indeed been a very difficult couple of weeks. The death of these students affects the entire KIU community, and we express our heartfelt condolences to their families and friends.

May their souls rest in peace. May we all pause for a moment to give thanks for their lives whose sparkle, spirit and exuberance was a blessing to us all. May we forever find ways to keep our memories of them alive.
