At about 4pm, a guild campaign rally at Lumumba Hall begins with the MCs engulfing afande Julius Mucunguzi O/C Makerere police station, (also an alumnus) holding him by the lower quarters amid a wind blow of chants and ululations from the shocked students who couldn’t believe Mr Muchunguzi could also dance to the vulgar tunes of the shameless Mary Stuart MCs!
Students arrive in multitudes till the whole street to MACOS is sealed off and no car could snake through. Band wagons of different candidates rail through and surprisingly insults are hurled at the non-Karamagi suppprters from the MCs themselves even to a level of ordering GGB, a security force for Lumbox to go after them. Police looks frustrated and troubled as the crowd turns more rowdy.
This time round Falcao the teargas maker is calm as if exiled in a foreign land, as guild candidates arrive one at a go.
All arrive in time unlike Kato Paul of FDC, special seats are reserved for the home boy and home girl, Karamagi and Doreen respectively with the duos’ posters flying high in the Lumbox space. More people flock in till the space is totally packed.
Several fights are witnessed and these occur among supporters, crowd turns unruly hence frustrating police the more but things are later calmed by GGB and police combined.
Another drunk shameless MC takes over, this time round a male obscenity preacher who hurls unbearable words as if Reading them from a “Nyanzi bible”.
Afande Muchunguzi who couldn’t feed his ears more of these sour words comes to the platform and takes away the mic from the obscene “prophet”, who shamelessly smiles at crowd and boldly tells it that “mulinga e****” (you all look like a vagina)….the female MCs once again start up an immoral song titled “kiwerebe” followed by another titled “twava mu m***” (we came from vaginas) leaving everyone besmirched with shock.
