The way the 2021 general elections are selling like hot cake, first Bobi Wine, then Joel Senyonyi, now we have Kitumba Richard.
Word reaching Campus Bee is that Kitumba, a man with a valid university ID, a student of Bachelor of Social Works and Social Administration (SWASA) at Uganda Christian University, Mukono main campus (UCU) might also be contesting for national politics, come 2021.
The student only in his second year, is eyeing the position of Member of Parliament (MP) for Mukono South Constituency, a constituency currently occupied by a one Muyanja Johnson Ssenyonga, also a UCU product, but that was for his Masters.
The aspiring candidate is currently consulting his potential electorate for the position, but it seems he is already a “wanted man”.
His fans have started conducting low-key campaigns for their “candidate” in an effort to make him known should the time to cast the vote avail itself. Some of his fans have even gone the extra mile of designing campaign posters for their candidate asking that he be voted for the year 2021 – 2026.
They have also shared their candidate’s slogan and reveal that Kitumba, will be running under the slogan, “For the Change we deserve.” It is not yet confirmed under which party he will be running as that will be revealed after the consultations, but the use of the red colors in his posters by his fans seems to suggest that that the man is surely opposition and will soon start to count his arrest times.
