Jinja — It Could not be an element of maturity but just knowing what is right and wrong ,University students in have been singled out the good example in the community for their good conduct in the society they are living.
While speaking to the RPC Mr Nyabongo Edgar at Regional offices in Kiira Jinja district noted that the University community in the region has shown a great example as students are not culprits in the operations carried out by the police in the effort to strengthening security in the region.
“The police has never received cases of students of any University in the region that has been involved in crimes.”He emphasized, adding “this shows how moral these University students are”
He appealed to the students to be cooperative in the campaign to fight crimes in the region such that peace and stability prevail in the academic institutions of Eastern Uganda through the government community policing programs launched by the president.
Jinja district is developing due to numerous higher institutions of learning emerging such as Branches of Makerere University, Kampala University, Fairland and Busoga Universities, Behtel training institution, Kyabazinga school of nursing among others.
