The group of Busitema university students who had been indefinitely suspended for demonstrating against the institution’s decree to increase graduation fee by over 100% and reduction in allowances rendered to the government students have been given a second chance.
After close discussion of these students status by the university’s administration, the students are to be allowed back to campus but on condition that each student is to pay a cash fine of 300000 Ugandan shillings in full or stay blocked outside the university’s premises.
Many of the suspended students have already met the institution’s demands and are back to work whilst for a few revolutionary students are still adamant about this whole fine issue.
They vow never to rest till this graduation fee – allowance issue is tackled to full satisfaction.
They too promise to sue the university’s administration on grounds not yet revealed to us. Keep it lock and be part of it.
