Chaos today erupted at Makerere University Business School football arena during the university league semi-finals match between Mubs and Kiu. It all started when a Kiu player, shirt number 4 only identified as Fredrick was beaten up by a group of Mubs students who were donning on the red gowns. This happened during a second half goal celebration as Mubs had scored the only goal that landed them a place in the finals on November 8 at Namboole.
As the match came to an end, the Mubs students got more rowdy and blocked the visitors from leaving the pitch. Police interfered but the violent hosts insisted pelting stones at the visitors. This forced police to fire teargas to disperse the rowdy students. The Kiu players and supporters were escorted to their van by the police.
