Sorrowful news gathered by our reporters indicates the death of a Makerere University Business School (MUBS) student, Derrick Muyimba.
Derrick was reportedly a final year student at MUBS pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Marketing.
According to numerous sources, Derrick sustained a nasty injury from the New year’s football competition that sent him to hospital.
The horrible incident took a huge toll on the talented fella’s life resulting into the Monday 3rd January horror when Derrick breathed his last. Burial is presumably underway today in Mukono District, his ancestral home.
Commiserations have poured in from friends, family and community members including Entebbe Municipality Member of parliament, Hon Kakembo Micheal who had this to say;
“We have lost a young comrade of the struggle. Derrick Muyimbwa, the son of Hon. Joyce Nabatta who passed on after sustaining an injury in a New Year’s day football match. My heartfelt condolences go out to Comrade Nabatta, & all friends of Derrick in Entebbe. RIP.”
