Where should the line be drawn? Revenge porn has become a real thing in Africa and Uganda hasn’t let the trend pass by. Women are humiliated on a daily because out of all the love and trust they had for a guy, they accepted to the taking of a nude pic(s) probably for the satisfaction of the guy in case the lady is too far away. Why then would a person leak the pics because they have a misunderstanding or a break-up, was that love in the first place?
I thought true love is not only reciprocated when the relationship is on but also after the relationship, a break-up should be seen as best friend turned normal friend not nemesis.
Advancement of social media has made it easy for anyone to get a lady’s nude pics if they are leaked. Viral is what happens when a nude is leaked but we often forget that this leaking is done not for our consumption but for the defamation and destruction of the ladies’ career and future.
This kind of defamation and degradation amounts to violence. Today it might be “Maria” tomorrow it might be your sister, your relative or better yet your relative, every female is at risk.
