It’s a rough morning. Wet but calm, bright but blightful. Shame on the lame- they never understand the pains in the feet of those who walk.
Wrists with crystal watches get cut after all. Uganda has yet again woken up to news so disturbing… She’s been charged again! This time for insulting the president’s mother. How can we… No, we cannot help. Maybe we can. Writers are flown to meet disciplinary committees each time they try to incite peaceful demonstrations to fight for those they love.
Mama Stella Nyanzi! A girl child you hate to love. Here we go again. Her appearance in Buganda Road Court yesterday got our hearts cringed. No, it wasn’t delight, it was fright. There is a mist that tends to envelope the air each time Stella’s name is mentioned in the same sentence with the word “prison”. Yesterday, it was cyber harassment and offensive communication for her.
Today, it’s her sharp words that scare the deceased’s soul, Ms. Esteri Kokundeka, Mr. Museveni’s mama who passed on in 2001… History will drive this world crazy. It is quite disrespectful of courts to keep drawing our minds back to the past.
Can’t we just move forward as NRM enchants each day break! So, apparently, Mama Stella Nyanzi insulted the president’s mother in one of her Facebook posts, on September the 16th… that Dr. Stella couldn’t let Ms. Kokundeka rest in peace while her son “continued to suffocate Uganda with corruption, lawlessness and dictatorship”.
This report was in reference to a letter Dr. Nyanzi wrote to a friend while she was in detention at Kira Division Police Station. Meanwhile, the charge on Stella “insulting” Museveni, referring to him as a “pair of hihis” hasn’t gone to rest as yet. Mama Stella will appear in court again on Friday.
Makerere! The fight is on. Listen to the screams of the scratched!
