A young city businesswoman known as Agie, the proprietor of Agie Fashions Men’s Wear Boutique near Romeo’s Restaurant, opposite Total Ntinda, has tragically lost her life after being attacked by suspected robbers while returning home.
According to eyewitness accounts, Agie was travelling on a boda boda when assailants on another motorcycle ambushed her, attempting to snatch her handbag.
In a desperate struggle to hold onto her belongings, she resisted — but the attackers pulled her off the moving motorcycle. Agie reportedly hit her head hard on the tarmac, sustaining a severe skull injury. She died moments later before help could arrive.
Friends and customers have described Agie as a hardworking and cheerful entrepreneur who had built a loyal clientele through her boutique’s stylish men’s collections. News of her death spread quickly across social media, sparking outrage and grief among Kampala’s business community.
“She was a kind-hearted woman who worked day and night for her business,” said a close friend. “It’s heartbreaking that her life ended this way.”
