A speeding car on Monday night knocked down a transfomer pole in Katanga region, a Kampala suburb leaving six dead including two Makerere students.
According to eye witnesses, electricity sparked off the transfer after the incident leading to death of 6 people.
The victims include two Makerere university students residing in JB hostel in Wandegeya, Katanga region and four (4) Katanga residents (maize vendors and Kikomando sellers) bringing the death toll to 6.
The transformer blast was followed by a load shed in the slum, eye witness said.
