The entire Mbarara University of Science and Technology(MUST) community was yesterday evening hit by very sad news as one of their own, a one Paison Musinguzi was pronounced dead.
Musinguzi was a second year student pursuing a Bachelors of Accounting and Finance. He was involved in a motor accident as the boda boda the deceased had boarded, was rammed into by a military truck, where he died on spot. It is reported that deceased was on his way from Kakoba, a suburb in Mbarara to his hostel just below Mackansingh street, Mbarara when this tragic incident happened.
According to reports, as the nearby residents rushed to request for an ambulance from the hospital, they were asked to present a documentation from the police, leaving the deceased laying down in a pool of blood and pain until he breathed his last.
A requiem mass for the deceased will be held today at Mbarara University starting at 11:30 am to send his dear soul off and preparations are ongoing.
The news about Musinguzi’s death has been circulating in MUST class groups since yesterday evening and his friends were in shock on receiving this devastating news. They took out to express their sadness on social media.
The deceased hailed from Kabale and arrangements for his burial are yet to be communicated. His friends say he always be remembered as a loving, caring and down to earth person. Musinguzi will dearly be missed.
