Bishop Stuart University (BSU) is mourning the tragic death of a student, Ian Ayebare .
Ayebare was in his final-year pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Education student.
Registered under 21/BSU/BSCED/0075, it is alleged that he was attacked by an unknown gang who mugged him to death while returning to his residence.
The university community has been struck with grief at the loss of this young scholar who was on the verge of completing his studies.
A funeral service in his honor will take place today, the university’s main hall. Afterward, the body will be taken to Kambuga, Kanungu District, for burial arrangements.
BSU’s administration, staff, and students have extended their heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.
