Police in Kigezi region has confirmed a suicide report of a one Nasasira Bibiana a student at kabale University.
Bibiana who was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work and social administration committed suicide by hanging herself on a tree.
According to Aderah Namanya a resident of Rweza cell in Kitogo parish, Babiana hang herself on a tree on which he found her lifeless body.
Namanya told police that the deceased (Babiana) had arrived at home on Monday 27th June 2022 in order to start her internship at nearby Rukiga District Local Government Headquarters.
Babiana’s sister said she had noticed her being restless but when asked what bothered her, she failed to respond.
Unfortunately, she later found Babiana hanging on a tree behind the sister’s house.
Elly Maate, the police spokesperson for Kigezi Regional police confirmed Babiana’s death.
Maate said that the scene was visited and the deceased’s body handed over to the family members for burial.
