Talk about making history, triplets stole the spotlight at Cavendish University Uganda’s 14th graduation after walking away with identical law degrees and the exact same CGPA.
The Abiine sisters — Marysent Kihembo, Marirlyn Kirabo, and Marian Kiconco — left jaws dropping at Speke Resort Munyonyo on Thursday as they marched across the stage in perfect sync, earning Bachelor of Laws degrees side by side.
And in true Gen Z style, they didn’t keep their excitement to themselves. Firing up social media, the trio posted on X (formerly Twitter):
“Congratulations to us! Same CGPA, same degree, triple the pride! Ladies and gentlemen, welcome your new lawyers in town 👩⚖️💃🥳❤️❤️❤️.”
The post instantly went viral, with fans dubbing them “Uganda’s power sisters” and others joking that future clients will be spoiled for choice.
The graduation ceremony, themed “Empowering Futures: Cultivating Leaders for a Global Tomorrow,” pulled in heavyweights including former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, Cavendish’s Chancellor, and Dr Vincent Ogutu, Vice Chancellor of Strathmore University in Nairobi, who gave the keynote.

Founded just over a decade ago, Cavendish has pumped more than 14,000 graduates into the job market. But this year, it was the Abiine triplets who grabbed all the headlines, proving that when success comes in threes, it’s unstoppable.
One thing’s certain — Uganda’s legal scene just got a triple dose of brilliance. Courtrooms, beware: the Abiine sisters have arrived.
