Kizito Okwee, known by his friends as Kiiza, is one of the victims to a fatal road accident that occured at Kampala-Lira highway.
23-year-old Kizito, a first year student at Uganda Martyrs University and Sam Obua died on spot when a Fuso Truck Reg no UAW 395P lost control and crashed into their tricycle on Thursday. Innocent Oyango, also a passenger on the tricycle, died on arrival at the hospital.
The tricycle was being driven by Aaron Abura, who survived the accident with severe injuries. Abura is being hospitalised at Lira Regional Referral Hospital.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Lira hospital mortuary for postmortem before they can be released to their families for burials.
Friends and former school mates of Kizito Okwee at Amugu Senior Secondary School have eulogized him as a friendly person.
By press time, Uganda Martyrs University had not made an official statement about the circumstances in which the deceased met his death.
