Having come out in close second after running heated up campaigns at Makerere University for the top student leadership position, these two former guild aspirants may have registered one more thing in common after both of them sat and passed the Law pre-entry exams. Needless to say, they were even staying in the same hall of residence.
Do not be surprised when you meet Zilitwaula Abdu Kalim and Biddemu Bazil Mwotta at Makerere University, years after you expected them to have already left because on top of their Bachelors degrees in Social Sciences and Arts in Education respectively, these two will be enrolling for a fresh four year course in law.
The two gentlemen who resided in University Hall during their time at Makerere sat the exam as degree holders and Zilitwaula scored 57% while Mwotta scored 54%. Both of them over and above the pass-mark which is 50%.

Mwotta, who actually was first declared winner in his election for guild president was later to see his victory short-lived when the eventual winner Roy Ssemboga petitioned and his victory was nullified by the University Guild Elections tribunal citing vote rigging and malpractice at the School of Education. A re-election was called for at the said school and he was not able to regain the votes he had got.
Zilitwaula on the other hand, came second to the eventual winner Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) candidate, Kato Paul in the year that followed. However, he is mostly remembered for having the most ladies in his camp and his campaign slogan “Tang Tang Buu Nungu.”
Mwotta went on to be an acute businessman with his Agro-Duuka innovation that finds market for farmers and was even, together with other young entrepreneurs, hosted by the Queen of England at the Buckingham Palace.
