Two students of Mukuju Core Primary Teachers College have died due to food poisoning.
Four others are still admitted at Tororo hospital.
School authorities said John Opera and Patrick Owori allegedly ate chapati that contained poison as they came back from their teaching practice.
The college principal, Consulate Tino said the victims allegedly went out of college to buy chapati from the neighboring trading center but started feeling stomach ache and head ache which attracted attention from their friends who immediately rushed them to hospital.
Tororo hospital medical superintendent, Dr. Tom Ochar says the two victims who died were salvaging, their heart rate was too high including bleeding through the noise and ears and at the time of admission the poison had destroyed the internal system.
However, the district police commander, Robert Katuramu confirmed that other two people including the same chapatti seller, Joseph Imoi and boda boda cyclist John Othieno have also been admitted after consuming the same chapatis.
