There is that time of the year when a new semester is beginning. The anxiety of students to go back to campus is high and freshers can’t sleep as they ponder on the thought of becoming campusers.

So you are done shopping and packing your luggage and now you have find your way to a hostel or university hall. There are quite a number of ways to go to your hostel or University hall of residence but today I am sharing the 21st century way to do it with convenience at a cheap price.

For starters, there is a ride booking service called Uber in Kampala and Entebbe and if you haven’t downloaded the app yet, you can download it from here and we are even giving you a promo code worth 15,000/- for new users/ first time riders. Use the promo code: CAMPUSBEE and get 15,000/- off your first ride.

However this time Uber is rewarding its existing customers with a 20% discount on all rides to areas around Universities on 5th, 7th, 12th, 13th and 19th August 2017 this year. Keep in mind that these are the reporting dates of universities. Use the promo code: Uber2Campus and get a 20% discount to areas around universities/campus.

Let’s say you are leaving your home in Bukoto and going to Kikoni, you can personally order your ride to campus with the tap of a button. Well, you are probably asking why you should use Uber and not a cab or borrowing a car or having to wait for your parent or guardian.

With Uber you order the ride to campus wherever and whenever you need it. Forget about having to be the last in to check in to your hostel  because your Dad said he isn’t going to leave work early to pick up a grown up. Basically whether is midday, midnight, or 7am, Uber will get you a driver to pick you up at whatever time you want. Whenever you want it, it is there!

The most important thing is how cheap Uber actually is compared to greedy special hires that will overcharge you at the end of the semester. In their new app, Uber even shows you how much you will spend on your way to campus. Yes, now you will know how much money to spare as you party on your last campus night. ???

We even compiled a list of popular destinations and prices from popular residences to campuses. Check yours out;

Location Destination Estimated Price
Ntinda Kikoni 11,000/-
Mengo Kikoni 7,000/-
Kawempe Kikoni 8,000/-
Bus Park Makerere Hill 6,000/-
Ntinda Makerere Hill 13,000/-
Mengo Makerere Hill 7,000/-
Kisasi MUBS Nakawa 7,000/-
Bus Park MUBS Nakawa 5,000/-

** The above prices are estimates and do not contain the 20% discount and can vary basing on traffic.

Well if you don’t want to hustle then you can always download the Uber App here and use the promo code CAMPUSBEE to book a ride home. And if you are an existing user, you can use the promo code Uber2Campus and get a 20% discount.
