The Directorate of Student Affairs of Uganda Christian University (UCU) is seeking for host families to come out and offer support to stranded International students at the University.
This was expressed in a note written by the University Authorities. In the note, it is feared that the students will not be able to return to their countries because of the deadly pandemic.
The support expected to be rendered from the host families includes Christian nourishment, food and accommodation to these students.
The students who come from various parts of the world are stuck after President Yoweri Museveni ordered for the closure of all Universities by Friday.
The Corona Virus is a big threat to Uganda as all the neighbouring countries around it have recorded cases of the deadly pandemic.
Government has decided to take up these among other tight measures to prevent the virus from penetrating into the country.
