Uganda Christian University (UCU) was last week crowned African Champions after they beat Midlands University of Zimbabwe during the All African International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competitions in Arusha.
The teams that participated were chosen after they won the competitions at national level from their respective countries. However, some countries presented up to two teams.
The Moot was about Laws of Armed Conflicts in Africa with judges from all over Africa. The finals were between UCU for the petitioners and Midlands University for the respondents.
There were 9 rounds that were concluded within 7 days from 12th November until the finals on Saturday.
The UCU team was represented by Isabella Namuyomba, Steven Basaija, and Paul Kunsa.
“We learnt a lot from other universities. It was a learning experience for me” says Isabella.
