Nakimuli Victoria, a final year student of Uganda Christian University (UCU) has passed on. She passed on Monday evening.
At the time of drafting the story, the hospital had not yet released a post mortem report surrounding her death. However, from what Campus Bee has received, Nakimuli was found lying on her bathroom floor and unconscious.
It was after then, that she was rushed to Nakasero Hospital. At 5pm news about her decease started circulating in social media groups.
It was the shock of a life time for her close friends at campus and family members who completely refused to believe the sudden news.
“Vicky was a hero. She died on the battlefield,” commented one of her friends. The battlefield symbolic of the struggle she was going through to complete the last chapters of her dissertation to meet the fast reaching faculty deadlines.
Nakimuli was also suffering from malaria and typhoid, coupled with dissertation stress.
“Our hearts are saddened by your departure,” says Vicki, a friend and classmate. “Every moment around you was never dull…Thank you for the joy that you spread to everyone and for the happy moments we shared,” she added.
Nakimuli had just finished her final exams a week ago and was scheduled to graduate on the 6th July, this year.
Nakimuli will be laid to rest today at her ancestral home in Buloba at Mityana road.
