According to trusted sources, the administration of the Mukono based Uganda Christian University has come to a final decision of holding a single graduation this year.
The university which will be celebrating it’s anniversary is intending to merge it’s celebrations together with the graduation of all finalist this year in October.
It should be noted that the university usually holds two graduation ceremonies in a year. A number of students were excitedly waiting for their graduation on July 29 until the news of the postponement came in.
The students are now furious about how the University just comes up with decisions without having their opinions heard.
One student said that their biggest worry is time; “four months is too much for someone who is completely done with their academics. We might miss opportunities because of the delay.”
The postponement actually means that law students are likely to join LDC in September, a month before the graduation ceremony.
At this moment, the university hasn’t come up with an official communication about the postponement with whispers that the administration is trying to buy time to have finalists who are currently on semester to finish all they have to and be part of the graduands.
The postponement comes after the Law Development Center postponed its graduation which was set for this month.
