The bee keeps buzzing. It may have gone silent but its ears kept wide awake as it flew over the prestigious Uganda Christian University guild government.
This time it’s not white painting godliness and peaceful university rather one of the institution’s most liked guild president’s – Arthur Baliruno’s government, unfolding and revealing the dirt that’s embedded with in.
Not Arthur Baliruno this time, (lets leave the man concentrate on winning the Kampala mayoral position from Mukono) but his long time partner, friend and campaign manager, the General Secretary turned thief Harman Magoma.
Many have asked continuously asked us to dig into the whereabouts of this one Harman and his uncertain dismissal from both the guild and university.
Today we dearly reveal to you according to the “wolox” reaching our hive desk that Harman embezzled millions from the university guild fund coffers that was meant to help out the institution’s financially unstable students meet the university deadlines. An act that consquently led to his suspension from the university by the senate.
Earlier this year, the guild parliament had resolved to cut down on the guild presidential travel expenses therein adding them to the 32 million shillings proposed guild fund.
However, Harman, the man in-charge, overstepped the rules and tried to use his position of office to swindle the money for his own personal benefits only to be curbed in the process.
An investigation was carried out that consequently led to the impeachment of the general secretary and suspension from the university for a period of one year by the senate.
The Baliruno government has just days left before it hands over to new guild government.
