Students of Uganda Christian University are perplexed on whether the water project that has been pending launching will ever be finalized.
The project that is being ran under the Minister of Internal Affairs and was supposed to be commissioned on Friday last week.
The guild at the university is installing drinking water points around the halls of residence (Sabiti for girls, and Nsibambi for boys) and the technology park of the university. This is an addition to the already existent drinking water locations behind Nkoyoyo Hall and the Dining Hall.
According to Alex Nuwahereza, the Minister of Internal Affairs at Uganda Christian University, information regarding the project is bound to be released during the commissioning.
This project was bound to be completed on Friday last week and subsequently launched. However, observation at the institution doesn’t depict any work underway.
Efforts to engage more authorities to narrow down on the reason as to why the project is stalling were futile as the different sources kept referring to others. This way, the students of the Mukono based university continue to wonder on when they will have water flow from the taps of this project.
