The Business faculty of Uganda Christian University (UCU) is to host its first Annual Conference on Entrepreneurship and Business Growth in Africa this month.
The event will take place on November 29 in Nkoyoyo Hall, under the theme: “Foundation, Growth and Resilience of Family Business.”
A number of scholars and policy makers from all spheres of life have been invited to present discussions on theme.
Rtd. Archbishop of Church of Uganda, Dr Livingstone Mpalanyi will deliver the key note address on the topic.
Other guests and discussants that will be present include Mr Aga Sekalala Jr. from Ugachick Poultry Breeders, Lt. Col (rtd) Robert Sekidde of Seroma Ltd, His Worship George Fred Kagimu-the Mayor Mukono Municipality and founder of Festino city, Babra Ofwono- Director Victorious Schools and Basir Ajer- Uganda Investment Authority Director, Small and Medium Enterprises among others who will engage in panel discussions on “Mapping the “future of family Business for Uganda” particularly the management, growth, succession planning and finance”
Students have been encouraged to attend in great numbers to benefit from the discussion. They have also been advised to make research regarding the topic to be able to present when called upon by the organizers.
There will also be a launch of the UCU Faculty of Business Journal by Dr. Dan Ayebale later in the day.
