UCU Organizes Fundraiser For Student Battling Leukemia

Viola Nagasha is a UCU student currently pursuing Economics and Statistics at the Mukono based campus. Nagasha who also doubles as a warden serving with the chaplaincy of Uganda Christian University (UCU) is diagnosed with leukemia at Mulago hospital.

Nagasha’s survival needs shs108 million in order to get the best treatment for her illness. As it still mourns Carol Atuhaire’s death, UCU has found a way of raising the required money by partnering with other companies to organize a fundraiser as a way of hitting the require money amounts.

Amongin Prisca, the University’s guild president has been added to the list of money collectors for this noble cause. Initially the contributions were sent directly to Nagasha’s bank account and her sister’s mobile money, but now adding the guild president will ease the contribution process mostly among UCU students.
