Uganda Christian University (UCU) has set October 22, 2021 as the new date for their virtual graduation following the government’s closure of learning institutions to curb the spread of the Covid-19. This will be the 22nd graduation with an estimate of over 1,700 students graduating with different awards.
The communication was shared by the University Vice Chancellor Assoc. Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi on 21st June in a memo addressed to students and staff.
“UCU will hold a virtual graduation ceremony on Friday October 22,” Mushengyezi wrote. Prof. Mushengyezi further called upon students who are set to graduate this year to plan accordingly before reminding them to remain safe from the deadly virus.
“We have seen God’s faithfulness in the past year. Let us have faith in God who saw is through the lockdown of 2020,” Prof. Mushengyezi added.
UCU has been forced to hold only one graduation ceremony this year unlike the previous ones where it used to have three phases.
