Uganda Christian University (UCU) has joined the group of tertiary institutions that have stood out of the crowd to fight the Coronavirus epidemic even though it has not been confirmed in the country yet.
The said virus has however been confirmed in all the neighboring countries of the Uganda including Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania. Leaving our country just a clock away from acquiring the virus.
UCU, yesterday purchased most Coronavirus prevention tools and through its medical team went on to place them at different points with in the institution.
These tools included disinfectant hand sanitizers and prevention sprays placed in areas of the main gate, the libraries, offices, canteens, toilets and all other building entries for all the buildings in the institution.
“These disinfectants are sustainable measures of effectively killing germs,” said Dr. Kajubi one of the doctors at Allan Galpin Health Center.
UCU joins Victoria University among other universities that have taken measures of safety for their students amid the epidemic.
