Viola Nagasha is a second-year student of Bachelors of Economics and Statistics at Uganda Christian University (UCU), Mukono. She has been diagnosed with Leukaemia, the cancer of the blood and is currently admitted at Mulago Hospital cancer ward.
Nagasha has been doing internship together with her classmates and friends at the same firm in town until she started experiencing weakness and then sickly. The pain she is going through right now is intense. Her friends and family feel her pain.
“It took us by surprise. It just happened from nowhere,” one of her friends interning with her says.
There is hope
Cancer has no cure, but hope is not lost. There have been a lot of people suffering from the disease and many have lived to tell their stories of how they have survived this emotionless disease. Nagasha too is an exception. She can survive this.
Her sister Daphine is receiving donations to help in her treatment. Contributions can be sent to her number 0703036488.
The University is also receiving contributions from the students that will be sent for the same cause.
The Viola Concert
Nagasha is a religious person and has been dedicated to serving the Lord through Ministry. She has been doing this through ushering in church at the university.
The UCU chaplaincy has been so involved in seeing to it that she gets all the support the university can offer and has organised a “Viola Concert” to take place on the 12th April, at Nkoyoyo Hall, from 7 to 9 pm.
Shs 3,000 will be paid by students and shs10,000 by the university staff to attend the concert.
Gospel artists including D’Reign, Robinson, Zabuli along others have been invited to minister the community at that day.
