A Uganda Christian University student was on Thursday evening found lifeless in a swimming pool after he reportedly went missing on a night out. Mbuga Victor, 24, a third year student doing International Business at UCU, Mukono, went missing on Wednesday evening after he and his friends went partying at a popular hangout spot- Big Fun in Mbarara.
While at the party, Campusbee learns that the late and his friends were having a wild fun time when he (Mbuga) went missing. After thorough search by his friends that turned out to be futile, his friends decided to take all his belongings and reported a missing case the next day at police.
The police yesterday evening found the missing student floating atop the swimming pool lifeless.
“It’s not clear whether the trio was drunk but at around 8pm, Mbugga went missing & his friends started searching for him. When they saw that their search yielded no results, they reported the matter to police,” the neighbor of the deceased told this website.
Some friends of his have been arrested because the parents affirm that he was a good swimmer and there is no way he could have drowned. Other sources believe Mbugga was murdered and thrown into the swimming pool.
