UCU students are at it again, news reaching us indicates that police in Mukono has arrested two students of Uganda Christian University for alleged theft of a businessman’s household property and money.
According to New Vision, Daisy Agaba, 20 and Vivian Abigaba 21, were arrested after the trader, Mathias Seryazi reported the theft. The students have been charged with theft on file number SD REF.8/26/1/2014.
“Seryazi, the owner of the property and a resident of Njogezi in Mukono Division says Daisy was his live in girlfriend and had plans to wed her after she completed her studies. Mathias, a dealer in electrical appliances, had gone on a business trip to Kenya when a friend called him and informed him that he had gone to his home and found his door ajar, with the house completely empty. He said he had reported the incident at police,” the Newspaper reports.
It is also said that after a thorough investigation, the two students were arrested with a stolen computer, two mattresses, a 29 inch flat screen TV, a sofa set, and cash worth sh800, 000.
