“Kaweesi has gone and he will be deeply missed for he was a good man,” says one of the students from UCU who attended the funeral at Kyazanga, Lwengo District yesterday.
Stories Campus Bee ran indicate that Kaweesi was headed to UCU for a Careers day talk when the unfortunate incident that claimed his life happened.
UCU responded with an official statement from the administration regarding some of the circumstances surrounding his death and how he was expected to be one of the guests for the event on Friday last week.
Students from the Mukono-based university together with some members of the administration made arrangements to have them travel and mourn with the nation, the death of the AIGP, and Police Spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi.
Transportation was set yesterday and a full Coasta from the university attended the funeral to give the deceased a university send-off.
