Uganda Christian University 2015 students of Mass Communication acted a docu-drama on the life, ministry and last moments of the late Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Boga-Zaire, Janani Luwum.
This documentary is expected to run on NTV Uganda this week, showcasing the story surrounding the personality and murder of the Archbishop, martyred on Amin’s orders.
Janani Luwum was commemorated in 2015 and a public holiday created in his honour.
The Government of Uganda set aside February 16 every year as the day to commemorate the martyrdom of the man who stood for truth, justice and equality in the most difficult times. We would like to thank the students, staff and management of UCU for this initiative.
