Just to refresh your memory, Uganda Christian University had set aside the period between 6th-18April, 2020 for its students to attempt their online exams. However, to the disappointment of the Institution, on 8th April, 2020 H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni barred the online exams and asked the University officials to wait for the crisis to end.
Our sources informed us that so many students had stayed behind in hostels before the ban on public transport was slapped upon us. The main intention behind staying behind and not going to their respective homes was simply because they wished to continue having discussions secretly as they prepare for their online exams.
However this did not go as planned as the exams were called off and the lockdown extended further and further. Due to these extensions, these students have run out of money and have resorted to soliciting for money online as a way to maintain their survival through their Guild President Mr. Timothy Kadaga. In a notice, the Guild President Timothy Kadaga is seen soliciting for money from Good Samaritans to assist the students.
We do hope a sustainable solution is attained to assist these students!
